June 28, 2026, Odessa. The military community of Ukraine and the entire Southern region suffered a heavy and premature loss. Today it became known about the sudden death of the commander of the 154th separate mechanized brigade, Colonel Volodymyr Kononnikov. As reported by the information portal 34.ua with reference to the official appeal of the Operational Command “South”, the officer was found without signs of life on Sunday, June 28. Currently, law enforcement agencies, together with the military law enforcement service, are conducting comprehensive investigative actions, and a special official investigation has also been appointed to establish all the details of this tragedy.
